Using A Portable Reflector

In my Basic TV Production Class we are on chapter 5 discussing light. Having the correct light on a set can make or break a recording.

When shooting in the field you have to deal with the bright sun. The bright sunlight produces distinct highlights and black shadow areas with little or no detail.

For this assignment we had to take a shot using a portable reflector to balance the light on a shot. A portable reflector is used to kick fill light into the shadow side of a subject face.

Here are the shots:

1st shot: No reflector

2nd shot: With the reflector

3rd shot: Full shot of me and the reflector held by Musfasa Shaw.
